So, I was planning on blogging every week and thought this was achievable. We have been so busy, which is awesome, but the days have flown by.
Better late than never, right?
I planned on writing a blog about Mother’s Day and things to do with Mum and as we are edging towards Father’s Day (I know it’s a fair way away) lets combine the two.
I believe the best present you can give your parents is your time so why not organise some “one on one” with them.
A couple of nights in Nambucca Heads, staying at Riverside Rest Bed and Breakfast, (where else? ha, ha). So breakfast is taken care of. Served in the dining room with a choice of freshly cooked or continental which includes home made jam, bread and Greek yoghurt. Delicious. Darrin’s the cook, don’t look at me.
… and here are some ideas of things to do whilst you are here.
A leisurely stroll along the Nambucca River to the V-Wall, check out the ever changing art works along the breakwall, cut across to Shelly Beach for a morning swim, lunch at Wharf Street café, overlooking the river. Bliss.
Hire a boat, a kayak or a couple of SUPs and explore the river and local wildlife. http://www.nambuccaboatshed.com.au
Go fishing and cook your catch on one of the many free BBQs located in the parks along the river. There are also dining shelters for comfortable picnicking.
Bellwood park now has a half court basketball and table tennis and you can hire equipment from the Bellwood Café. They also do yummy fish and chips.
How about a spot of Boutique shopping, the main street in Nambucca has something to suit every style.
